So, in a nutshell, the courts have held that Mai Mala Buni occupied the office of APC chairman illegally and, consequently, anything that he did or was done through him is void and of no effect.
This beggars the question: if Buni occupied the office illegally and all he did was void ab initio, could he have validly convened a convention whereby Abdullahi Adamu was “elected” chairman of the party?
Following from this, if Buni’s term was illegal and everything he did was void and, consequently, and he could not have validly convened a convention to elect Adamu, this would mean that Adamu himself occupies the office illegally and he has no authority or basis in law to carry out any valid acts.
Which, by further extension, would mean that APC will have NO candidate in next year’s elections.
Brazen impunity should/must have consequences.
Thankfully, they can’t say they were unaware. Akeredolu warned them very loudly.
