Jack Grealish reveals when he'll reach his peak at Man City

Jack Grealish says he still has much more to offer for Manchester City after impressing in his side's last game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, admitting he needs to improve his fitness to get back to his best.

The former Aston Villa winger suffered an injury which halted his progress early in the campaign, before being mocked after an ineffectual performance against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League which saw his £100m price tag brought into question.

However, Grealish silenced his critics with an excellent display at Molineux, scoring in the first minute and offering far more threat in attack than he had against the German side.

Speaking to his club's official website, the 27-year-old attributed his difficult first season at the Etihad to the difficulties of adapting to manager Pep Guardiola's methods.

“I still have a lot of fitness to improve upon but that will come over time,” Grealish told City TV.

“I just need to keep training to be the best of my ability and then I’ll get chances on the pitch. And then you'll see the best Jack Grealish.

"Pep has been brilliant with me and I probably have to thank him for giving me the opportunity."

City face local rivals Manchester United this Sunday, as Guardiola's side look to continue their unbeaten start to the season and claim a third successive Premier League title.
