Demin first took control of the club back in 2011 when the Cherries were still in the Football League and has overseen their rise up to the Premier League, but has been looking to sell the club over the past year.

Negotiations with groups from Saudi Arabia, China and America have all collapsed but sources have confirmed to 90min that Foley has lodged an acceptable bid to buy Bournemouth from Demin.

Foley, the owner of National Hockey League outfit the Vegas Golden Knights, has agreed to play close to £150m to take charge of the club.

The finer details of the contract are now being finalised and there is hope around the Vitality Stadium that Foley could assume control of Bournemouth in the next month.

It is a period of transition for the club both on and off the field as the Cherries remain without a permanent first-team manager following the departure of Scott Parker late last month.

Gary O'Neil remains in temporary charge until a permanent successor can be found and 90min understands that Foley will have a say in the eventual appointment.
