Games have been postponed as discussions are held with relevant authorities following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, with limited police resources available to supervise all matches.

Arsenal's Europa League fixture with PSV Eindhoven on Thursday has been postponed but Chelsea have confirmed their UCL game will go ahead.

Their statement reads: "Our Champions League fixture against RB Salzburg on Wednesday night will go ahead as planned.

"The decision comes after discussion with the Metropolitan Police and UEFA following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Kick-off remains at 8pm."

Chelsea were defeated in their first Champions League outing this season, losing 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb as Thomas Tuchel was sacked a day later. Graham Potter has since left Brighton to take the role and will be in the Blues dugout for the first time on Tuesday.

The Premier League has also confirmed its matches will resume as scheduled this coming weekend, but Chelsea will not be in action.

The Blues were due to face Liverpool at home but it is one of three games which have been postponed alongside Manchester United vs Leeds and Brighton vs Crystal Palace, the latter previously being called off due to rail strikes.
