Jurgen Klopp issues injury update on Fabio Carvalho
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that the knee injury suffered by Fabio Carvalho in the Merseyside derby stalemate with Everton is not serious.
Carvalho clashed knees with Everton midfielder Amadou Onana in the first half of the 0-0 draw at Goodison Park, and was substituted at the interval after struggling to run off the knock.
There was obvious concern on the Liverpool bench given the extent of their current midfield injury crisis, but Klopp moved to allay any fears that Carvalho's injury is serious after the game.
The German told reporters: "It's not bad. I think it is extremely painful, it is a dead leg on the muscle above the knee and he couldn't bend the knee anymore. When this muscle swells up, there is no space for anything else.
