The South-West Agenda for Asiwaju 2023 (SWAGA’23) on Tuesday said Daniel Bwala, the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign is not qualified for the assignment given to him.
Otunba Bosun Oladele, National Secretary of SWAGA in an interview with DAILY INDEPENDENT said Bwala, who until recently was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) should be the spokesperson of religious agitators and not for any presidential candidate.
Bwala who joined PDP few days ago had hinged his decision on the Muslim-Muslim ticket paraded by the APC for the 2023 presidential election.
However, Oladele said it remains to be seen how the lawyer who was singing the praises of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, APC presidential candidate few days ago will now campaign against him in the days ahead.
"Daniel Bwala is a disadvantage to the PDP and Atiku. All you need to do in order to put Daniel Bwala in a hole is to play back his video clips to him on the negative things he has said about Atiku and PDP in the past. Tell him to respond to those video clips and watch him stammer".
"How can you within the space of weeks say Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the best thing that can happen to Nigeria and now he is no longer the best?"
"If he is anchoring his new found love on PDP on religious inclination, I will say that as a spokesperson, it means he has nothing to speak about. Religious consideration is not for politics".
"For people that are inclined to religion, we have the worship places where they needed to preach about God and even for the traditionalists, they have the shrines. But for politics, you have to go and discuss concrete developmental issues, administrative management and progressive matters that will take Nigeria to the top".
"To me, Daniel Bwala should be the spokesperson for religious agitators not for any presidential candidate".
