The Argentine left the Bianconeri at the end of his contract in June, bringing the curtain down on a seven-year stay in Turin.

Dybala had been expected to join Inter and a deal to take him to San Siro was close, but 90min understands the Nerazzurri's inability to terminate Alexis Sanchez's contract meant they could not complete the transaction.

That left the door open for Roma to sign the forward, who was also wanted by Serie A rivals Napoli.

And the Giallorossi confirmed the signing of Dybala on Wednesday, with the 28-year-old becoming their fourth signing of the summer after Nemanja Matic, Mile Svilar and Zeki Celik.

Dybala was seen in a Roma-branded top during their pre-season friendly against Sporting in Portugal, and has now been unveiled as their latest acquisition.
