Nigerian activist, Deji Adeyanju has mocked actress, Funke Akindele after she said her 20 million followers on social media will help her win the Lagos gubernatorial election.
Funke made the claim in an interview on Channels TV.
Funke Akindele said she has over twenty million followers on social media who would support her party to emerge as the winner.
Reacting to the statement by the mother of two, Adeyanju reminded her of Shehu Sani who has 2.6m followers on social media but was only able to pull 2 votes in the Peoples Democratic Party governorship primaries in Kaduna State.
He wrote: “Funke Akindele says she has 20m followers and will make PDP win Lagos.
“ME: Cries in Shehu Sani’s 2.6m followers = 2 votes.
Social media retweets and likes is deceiving many people.”
