Man Utd announce new sleeve sponsor for 2022/23 kits & beyond

Manchester United have announced global technology firm DXC as the club’s new sleeve sponsor for the 2022/23 season and beyond.

As part of a multi-year deal, DXC branding will be visible on the sleeve of United’s home, away and third kits for the next few seasons.

The American company replaces Kohler as the club’s sleeve sponsor – the kitchen and bathroom manufacturer had been on United kits since 2018 and were the first to feature on the sleeve.

The front of United shirts in 2022/23 will continue to feature TeamViewer branding after the software firm entered into a five-year partnership last summer.

United’s new adidas home kit has not yet been released but leaked images appear to show a designed modelled on the jerseys of the 1990s. A white collar and overall look gives echoes of the shirt used between 1998 and 2000. But United’s first Premier League home shirt (1992 – 1994) also featured a white collar, while a white and grey collar was used from 1996 to 1998.

The expectation is that the official kit reveal will happen sooner rather than later now that the DXC announcement has been made.

As far as the actual football is concerned, the club has already moved in the transfer market to make Dutch full-back Tyrell Malacia the first new signing of the Erik ten Hag era.

A deal for Christian Eriksen is also close, with the club hopeful of striking deals for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong and Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez. Ajax winger Antony has become the primary attacking target since Darwin Nunez joined Liverpool instead.

United remain intent on keeping Cristiano Ronaldo, despite the player requesting to leave if a suitable offer is made and agent Jorge Mendes already exploring opportunities elsewhere.
