A young schoolgirl who was taking a selfie on the edge of a really tall building has ended up dead in the process.

A teenage girl who went up onto the top of a block of flats to take a selfie fell off and plummeted to her death, Daily Star UK repprts

The girl, named only as Denisa, who was just 15 years old, lost her life while trying to take a snap of herself in the horrific incident which happened in the city of Sibiu in western Romania.

Police say the teen went to the roof of a 10-storey block of flats in the city centre with seven friends.

She was trying to take a picture of the view with herself in the shot when she fell and plummeted to her death.

Emergency services were called to the scene but could do nothing to help the 15-year-old and the girl was declared dead.

One of the building’s tenants told how teens regularly break in to go and spend time on the roof.

Police say they have opened a full investigation and are looking at all options, including a manslaughter case.

Investigations are currently ongoing.
