Nigeria's senate President, Bukola Saraki has approved the sum of twenty five million naira (N25,000,000) for Ramadan gifts for poor Muslims in Kwara.


The gifts will be distributed across the sixteen Local Government Areas of Kwara State.


The disbursement of cash gift, will be anchored by a five man committee chaired by the former Commissioner for Energy, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi .


The committee chairman, Musa Abdullahi, made it known that the cash gift was in addition to the food items such as rice, yam flour, beans, milk, sugar etc to the thousands of party faithful and other muslim stalwarts across the state by Saraki's Constituency Office just about last week.
He also disclossed that beneficiaries of the cash include islamic scholars, traditional rulers, elderly men and women, less-privileged and low income youths across the state.
