NSCDC Promotes 322 Officers In Jigawa Command
The Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Wednesday said it had promoted 322 of its officers and men.
The Commandant, Malam Muhammad Gidado, told newsmen in Dutse that the officers were promoted in the recently-conducted nationwide promotion exercise conducted by the governing board of the NSCDC.
“322 officers and men of Jigawa Command were promoted following the recent general promotion exercise conducted nationwide by the governing board of the NSCDC,’’ Gidado said.
He said two Deputy Commandants were promoted to the rank of Commandants and four Assistant Commandants were also promoted to the rank of Deputy Commandants.
He said that 57 senior officers were promoted to various ranks, while 259 junior officers were also promoted.
The commandant disclosed that the Jigawa command had the largest number of those promoted nationwide.
“This would not be unconnected with the unprecedented efforts of the corps in building a capable, well-trained, disciplined and affordable officers,’’ he said. (NAN)
