Another Contestant On The Voice Shot Dead

A singer from the Mexican version of The Voice has died after being shot in an ambush after celebrating his 45th birthday with friends.

Alejandro 'Jano' Fuentes was shot in the head three times on Thursday when someone approached the car he was in, and ordered him to get out of the vehicle at gunpoint.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Fuentes refused and the gunman fired multiple shots, leaving him in critical condition as he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 2.07pm. The US newspaper added that police said on Saturday that no one was in custody over the attack.
