Too Many Rumours Flying Around Regarding Gej

TOO MANY RUMOURS FLYING AROUND REGARDING GEJ.

People.say he should openly take a stance and my question is they should go amd read his last press release. If that is not a stance, I don't know what it is.

Report on Wednesday 11th of May 2022 says he has joined APC. This coming after the APC Bayelsa chairman on Tuesday the 10th of May 2022 said Jonathan not yet our member – APC Bayelsa chairman. Same Jonathan went to Dakar same day for International duties and yet to come back to Nigeria as at the time of this post. So question is, when did he join APC? While in Dakar? You see why you should disregard all these rumours.

Also, Sahara Report ( non credible media outlet) reported that GEJ gave some Governor N200,000,000 for a form. What sense is in giving N200,000,000 for a form that is N100,000,000? Also, why on earth will GEJ spend a kobo to attain a position that he is being begged, pressured to join and have rejected the offer publicly?

A lot of all these stories will keep coming up, however, please disregard and stick with the last statement issued by Ex President Jonathan on this issue. Anything can change in politics tomorrow, however as at today, let us stick with what is official and not rumour.

Ex President Jonathan was a Nigerian President ( PDP, ACN, and all) and he has positioned himself to forever be an ex President to all Nigerians regardless being a PDP member. A successful President can not be an aspirant as he has been a President before. Jonathan will not come out to run against anyone, however, like a retired General when called upon during war, he MIGHT yield to that call if called upon. The use of MIGHT is because he is contend with his international duties.

Those flying these rumours seem to forget that consensus requires the signature of all contestants in agreement. Until the last aspirant in any political party signs, there can't be consensus. People just fly rumours without adding 2 + 2.

A retired General with all his experience will not be called upon and go into an unprepared battle grounds laid with mines for failure. However, in politics, 24 hours is a long time and things can change, regardless, let us apply the facts as we reason along developments in every 24 hours of politics.

Off GEJ want to contest, i will wait for his declaration and not wallow in rumours. For now, I will cling to his last statement on this issue.

GEJ DISTANCE HIMSELF FROM THE MIYETTI ALLAH PURCHASED FORM, CONSIDERS IT AS AN INSULT.

It has come to our notice that a group has purportedly purchased Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest forms, of the All Progressives Congress APC, in the name of former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

We wish to categorically state that Dr. Jonathan was not aware of this bid and did not authorize it.

We want to state that if the former President wanted to contest an election, he would make his intentions clear to the public and will not enter through the back door.

While we appreciate the overwhelming request by a cross-section of Nigerians, for Dr. Jonathan to make himself available for the 2023 Presidential election, we wish to state, that he has not in anyway, committed himself to this request. Buying a presidential aspiration form in the name Dr. Jonathan without his consent, knowing the position he had held in this country, is considered an insult to his person. The general public is therefore advised to disregard it.
