Electoral Act: Resign Sec 84 Is Working Against Your Ambition-man Tells Binta

The ambition of Senator Binta Masi Garba and Senator Abdul'aziz Nyako was seen as efforts meant to destroy the chances of others in the Adamawa All Progressives Congress, APC, family.

A concerned party Man and staunch agitator of the movement to reclaim Adamawa State back to APC from PDP, Hasruna Adamu Isa said Binta and Nyako who have respectively represented the Northern, Central Senatorial zones are touring the paths that will further kill the party in the state.

Hasruna said this owing to the fact that both Binta and Nyako were former lawmakers and recently received appointments by President Muhammadu Buhari as Board Chairman of the National waterways inland Authority (NIWA) and Member Nigeria port Authority (NPA) respectively.

The party loyalist worried that the decision of the former national lawmakers to nursed the ambition of going back to Senate chambers as senator of their respective zones will waste the appointments they have all signed to its acceptability.

He revealed that the duo senators are about to waste the federal appointments over their ambition that may not give then lights at the end of the tunnel.

He however advised them to either reject the appointments in order to get qualified people to replace them.

"Let them tell us that they reject the appointments over their Senatorial ambition that it may not give them light at the end of the tunnel.

" They are just trying to waste those lucrative offices for the APC family in Adamawa state, which I'm kicking against it as a loyal member of the party." Hasruna said

Adamu said they are trying to trick the APC in Adamawa by being silence over the appointment of and go on with their Senatorial aspirations and that contravened the section 84 sub section 12 of electoral act.

He opined that the act stated that no political appointee should enter into primaries without resigning.

"For them to keep quite is a political fraud and yahoo yahoo way of sabotaging the general interest of all party members in Adamawa state.

" The best way to go about it they should publicly announce through the media that they do not accept the appointment so substantial replacement should be made." Isa added

Isa warned that they are giving them two days ultimatum, whether on or before Friday to resign, or they will be left with no option than to write a letter to the ministry of transport and Secretary to the government of the federation to quickly get Adamawa indigenes to replace them.

"Their appointment is with immediate effect, they should reject it if truly they are going into primaries so that we can even thank them for that.

" But it appears they are trying to trick APC members by being silence and keeping that appointment by the side, this is their plans in case they can not win the primaries.

"They however forget the oath they took in their Senatorial forms by way of signing is in total disagreement with their new appointments as political aspirants." He added
