AC Milan great Franco Baresi admits he's been quickly won over Sandro Tonali.
Tonali struck twice in victory over Hellas Verona on Sunday to return Milan back to the top of the Serie A table.
Baresi told La Repubblica: "Tonali has certainly shown a great sense of belonging and is confirming it match after match.
"After some effort in the first season, he wanted to stay. He showed attachment, he had determination, a desire to question himself, courage. And little by little he entered the heart of the team, to the point of fully embodying the AC Milan spirit. Destiny wanted to reward him: that in Verona was a very important evening for him and for the team's season.
"For me Tonali is Tonali, a modern footballer. He is able to play the low midfielder and the midfielder with ease and personality, has an aptitude for insertion and is learning to play in various positions in the midfield.
"It is difficult to make comparisons with the past. The essential thing is that he remains humble and balanced. He must think about himself and his qualities. He knows this, he is young and can grow a lot."
