Writer, Anthonia Umerah made the submission after actor Yul Edochie announced his second wife, Judy Austin on social media alongside their young son.

Since the news broke, Nigerians have continued to lash out at the actor.

According to Umerah, women must insist on court wedding when any man makes his intentions to marry them.

Umerah stated that if Yul Edochie had married his first wife, May Edochie in court, he would have suffered the consequences that come along with polygamy.

She said that court marriages protect first wives against any misfortunes that come along with their husbands getting other wives in addition to her.

She wrote:

"Women who wedded their husbands in court do not worry about Polygamy and this is why court wedding is the best! If Yul Edochie and May did court wedding, he will have to deal with the consequences of BIGAMY. Dear women, always insist on court wedding, it's the best in other to protect yourself against BIGAMY and other things too."
