Barcelona have moved on from their interest in signing Arsenal center-back Gabriel Magalhaes.

The Gunners defender has enjoyed a good season next to Ben White for manager Mikel Arteta.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Gabriel is among the many defenders that Barca are assessing as they formulate their summer transfer window plans.

However, they were quoted a minimum of £34 million to secure Gabriel.

Such a figure is beyond the Catalan giants, who have financial issues.

Manager Xavi may have to look to free transfers, such as Antonio Rudiger or Andreas Christensen, to improve his defensive options.
