Seun Kuti, the youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti has stated that African culture does not encourage violence against women and children while addressing the issue of domestic violence.

The singer stated this on Thursday when he called out people who cherry-pick the parts of African culture that suit their actions.

You don’t practice anything African except the small language u speak! Your holy land is Jerusalem and Mecca! Your most valuable possessions are you European thoughts and things!
