Real Madrid captain Marcelo appeals to fans jeering Bale

Real Madrid captain Marcelo has appealed to fans to stop barracking Gareth Bale.

A second-half substitute in victory over Getafe, Bale was whistled by his own fans throughout his cameo.

Marcelo said in reaction: "It's difficult, to be honest. It's happened to many people.

"But we are all important. We have a lot at stake now and we have to be united, we have to get the fans to help us. That's how it is, we have to continue.

"We are with him. It's a bit sad, but we have to continue."
