Biography & Career Of Black Sherif

Black Sherif whose real name is Mohammed Ismail Sherif is a multi-talented Ghanaian singer, songwriter, rapper and performer. He came to prominence for his hit single “Kwaku the Traveller” which went viral on the video sharing platform, Tik Tok as accompanied by numerous dance challenges on the app.

His talent has also been recignized among top producers and musicians like Jae5 and Sarkodie. Black Sherif is fast becoming a force to reckon with while emerging as the next big thing after Yaw Tog.

Early Life

Black Sherif was born on January 9, 2002 in Konongo, Ghana to parents Mr Frimpong and Ante Marie. He grew up in Konongo, Ashanti region of Ghana where he had both his primary and secondary education.

He can speak different languages including English, Pidgin and Twi fluently.

He completed his secondary edication at Kumasi Academy in 2019. He also further his education at the University of Professional Studies where he majored in Marketing.

Career

Black Sherif developed passion for music while in secondary school where he began as a dancer before delving properly into music.

He first released “Cry For Me” in 2019 before being known in 2020 with the hit single “Money”.

He began to post different freestyles such as “Road to the tape – First Sermon and Second Sermon” on his social media pages and soon caught the attention of numerous music producers and singers alike including Sarkodie.

Black Sherif came to limelight for his hit song “Kwaku the Traveller” which went viral on the various social media platforms.

He has always been known with his style of singing about his struggles and how he chose street life for a deeper perspective in the music industry.

He has also released several songs such as; Give it Back, Anadwo, Talk Talk and so on.

Black Sherif has performed at numerous events which include the final of the 2021 MTN FA Cup final match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Ashanti Gold SC.
