Man Utd make Zahavi contact for Barcelona target Lewandowski

Manchester United have made a move for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Poland international has baulked at new contract talks with Bayern and has made contact with Barcelona about a summer move.

Lewandowski feels ready for a new adventure at 33 years of age and has received a contract offer from Barca for his consideration.

However, BILD says United are also interested in the prolific striker.

United are said to have expressed their interest to agent Pini Zahavi several weeks ago. The fallen English giants "would like to sign the centre-forward, if there is a possibility" , Zahavi was informed.

However, Barca are favourites for Lewandowski's signature, having tabled a three-year deal to Zahavi for the Pole.
