Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno makes Newcastle decision
Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno will not consider a move to Newcastle and instead will return to Germany this summer.
The 30-year-old joined the Gunners in 2018 and was first-choice up until September last year. But following a poor start to the season, Mikel Arteta opted to give new signing Aaron Ramsdale a chance between the sticks.
The former Sheffield United star impressed and Leno - who is contracted at Arsenal until 2023 - has been left out in the cold.
Arsenal are now ready to let him leave at the end of the season and it's understood any sensible offers between five and £10 million will be considered, says the Daily Star.
The German international fancies a return to his homeland and former club Bayer Leverkusen are also sniffing around.
