Inter Milan and Lukaku willing to explore loan exit from Chelsea

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is willing to take a major pay-cut to return to Inter Milan this summer.

The Stamford Bridge club have been severely affected by the government sanctions placed on their owner Roman Abramovich in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

It hasn't taken long for speculation about their star players to surface with Belgian striker Lukaku, their record £98million signing, creating headlines in Italy.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports Lukaku is willing to lower his wage expectations to secure what would be a loan move back to Inter, with his desire to return to the San Siro 'strengthened' by recent events.

Lukaku is believed to earn £325,000-a-week as his basic Chelsea wage but as much as £450,000-a-week once image rights and bonuses are factored in, a huge sum that isn't likely to be sustainable going forward if the club isn't sold.

Any Lukaku move is dependent on Abramovich offloading the club and also director Marina Granovskaia also leaving.
