Funke Akindele Tackles Scammer Posing As Bank Staff (Video)

Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele took to social media to slam a fraudster posing as a staff of First Bank of Nigeria.

The mother of two posted a video recording of her conversation with the person in an Instagram story on Tuesday.

The impersonator could be heard requesting her bank details which include her BVN and date of birth.

“We are doing our general network update, we found out that the date of birth in your account and the one in your BVN are not the same. The one in your account is 22 December 1986 while your BVN is 22 December 1984, this is why we call you. Which among of this two is correct? ” the scammer asked.

Responding, the actress requested the name of the bank he works for and he replied, “I’m calling you from First bank.”

“You are mad! How will First Bank hire somebody that cannot speak English?” Funke snapped at him.

The conversation ended with the actress trading curses with the fraudster.
