The world is currently shaking, following the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Russian forces on Thursday fired missiles at several cities in Ukraine and landed troops on its coast, officials and media said, after President Vladimir Putin authorized what he called a special military operation in the east.

Nigerians in Ukraine have ben thrown into panic mode.

Nigerians have also taken to social media to react to the report of the war.

Questions being asked by everyone is, how can this war affect Africa? Will it affect us in Nigeria?

MY THOUGHTS

This war will affect us in a lot of ways. It will put upward pressure on the price of oil, perhaps raising fuel prices and increasing scarcity.

Nigeria is a part of the global economy, and investors around the world are hesitant to invest, thus reducing the flow of money into the country.

The conflict has a direct impact on Ukraine, as well as the rest of Europe, which includes some of our most important trading partners.

Many Nigerian students in Ukraine, where we know there are a large number of medical students, may have to put their studies on hold forever. Among other things.
