I Won’t Renege On Paying N18k Minimum Wage – Amosun

The Executive Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, has publicly declared that his administration will still keep its promise to pay the eighteen thousand naira, minimum wage.

He said this amidst calls by some state Governors to have the minimum wage reduced because of the reduction in their allocations from the Federal Government.

Amosun said all this at the presentation of the 2016 Appropriation bill to Ogun state lawmakers in Abeokuta yesterday November 24th, 2015.

The Governor further stressed that asides from promptly paying salaries, his administration is ready to increase the minimum wage provided the economy improves.
