CKay Becomes YouTube’s Most Viewed African Artist

Chukwuka Ekweani, a great Nigerian vocal singer, songwriter, and record producer known as Ckay, has gone viral yet again, this time on the global video streaming network, YouTube.

The singer and record producer’s latest single, “Emiliana,” debuted at number 190 on the Billboard top 200 chart, making it the first Afrobeats song to do so without the use of an official video.

According to YouTube statistics, the singer is the most watched African artist in the last twelve months, eclipsing Nigerian heavyweights such as Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Yemi Alade, and others.

Still in reference to YouTube’s statistics, Ckay racked up a total of 1.44 Billion YouTube views in the last twelve months.
