Gavi has rejected a new contract offer from Barcelona.

Currently the lowest paid player in Barca's senior squad, Gavi and his management team rejected a new contract offer tabled by Barca last month, says Sport.

The 17 year-old Spain midfielder's priority remains to stay with the Catalans, but is insisting he is paid what he is worth.

Negotiations will continue, though Barca are aware of huge interest in Gavi across Europe.

Indeed, Manchester United and Chelsea tested the ground before Christmas and are maintaining contact with his agents as Barca negotiations rumble on.
