Rainstorm Destroyed About 25 Buildings And Leaves 100 Residents Homeless In Kwara

A rainstorm that accompanied a heavy downpour at the weekend, has rendered many homeless in Kosubosu, Baruten local government area of Kwara State.


It was gathered that about 25 buildings were destroyed by the rainstorm while about 100 residents were rendered homeless in Kwara north’s border town.


The rain, the first in the year threw the victims and their relations into mourning.


LEADERSHIP recalls that a similar disaster occurred in Kosubosu last year with hundreds of residents affected.

The Public Relations Officer of the Council,Mal. Jubril Masene, whose house was also affected described the incident as devastating.


He appealed to government at all level and public spirited individuals to come to the aid of the victims.
