Newcastle to bid for West Ham defender Issa Diop
Newcastle United are ready to bid for West Ham defender Issa Diop.
The Sun says they have now made an enquiry over the 25-year-old centre back.
While the Hammers could be tempted to sell the Frenchman for around £10million, they would be unlikely to do so at least without sealing a replacement in the last few hours of the window.
Diop spent the first 14 Premier League games on the bench for the Hammers, but injuries in defence have seen him thrusted into the first team picture since the start of December, starting eight of the nine games since.
In addition, Eddie Howe's team have been linked with Burnley defender James Tarkowski as well as Brighton duo Adam Webster and Dan Burn.
