​AFCON: Cameroon top group after Cape Verde draw

Cameroon sealed top spot in Group A at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The hosts of the competition drew 1-1 with Cape Verde, finishing on seven points after three games.

The Indomitable Lions went ahead in the 39th minute through Vincent Aboubakar, who scored his fifth goal of the tournament.

Cape Verde, however, equalized eight minutes after half time.

Substitute Garry Rodrigues came off the bench to flick home the equaliser and earn his side a share of the spoils.

A draw was not enough for Cape Verde, who finished third in the group.
