Boko Haram Leader Shekau Denies Ceasefire, Says Chibok Girls Married Off In New Video

The government have been in talks with boko haram in order to maintain ceasefire. But the talks yield nothing.

boko haram has released a new video in what appears to be Shekau saying there are no negotiations and the Chibok girls have all been sold off.

According to a video released by AFP on Friday, Shekau, speaking in Hausa and flanked by 15 armed fighters, said:

“We have not made ceasefire with anyone…We did not negotiate with anyone… It’s a lie. It’s a lie. We will not negotiate. What is our business with negotiation? Allah said we should not.”

He also said he did not know Danladi.The man posing as a representative of Boko Haram for the negotiations..On the Chibok girls, he said ….


“Don’t you know the over 200 Chibok schoolgirls have converted to Islam? They have now memorised two chapters of the Koran,” while laughing, he continued”We have married them off. They are in their marital homes.”
