Chelsea are interested in Reims striker Hugo Ekitike.
The young forward is attracting major Premier League enquiries, with Newcastle and West Ham keen.
However, Foot Mercato says Chelsea have jumped into the battle on recommendation of manager Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel watched Ekitike, 19, when in charge of PSG and wants to bring him to London this summer.
West Ham, meanwhile, have intimated they plan to bid for Ekitike this month.
