Man Utd boss Rangnick admits Cavani a positive difference to team
Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick admits a fully fit Edinson Cavani makes a difference to their play.
Rangnick made the admission when considering victory over Burnley.
“Yesterday we had to play without Bruno, and we played well," Rangnick told Sky Sports News.
“We played with two strikers, two wingers, two sixes, every player in his best possible position. This is another thing that we try to achieve in almost every game that no matter which formation we're going to play, we'll have every player in his best possible position.
“It's not only about a partnership between Cristiano [Ronaldo] and Bruno, it's about partnerships between other players. Yesterday it was about the partnership between Edinson [Cavani] and Cristiano, and it worked out well.
“Edinson was the player with the highest distance in the whole team with 11.8 or 11.9km, and of course since we will change from game to game, also the formation and the starting line-up, it's about different partnerships.
“It's about developing the whole team, and they should all play with the same mindset, the same principles, and know what to do when we're in possession of the ball, or when the other team is in possession."
