As well as those involved in our comfortable 3-1 win over Burnley, the German will also have Bruno Fernandes available again following his suspension and the midfielder could return for the same fixture in which he made his debut for the Reds, back in February 2020.

Meanwhile Marcus Rashford, who was rested following the quick turnaround between our trip to Newcastle and home fixture with Sean Dyche's side, will further bolster our firepower.

On senior pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, Rangnick said: “It is important to have those two players on board. The work ethic both showed today together with Mason and Jadon was highly important.

“They had to do a lot of negative runs for the team to make sure we kept them away as often as possible from our own box and this had to start with the four up front.

“When you play with such an offset in the line-up, it is important they work together offensively and have a work ethic defensively and both of them did a lot for the team."

But the boss was keeping his cards close to his chest on who might feature up front against Wolves, adding: “We will see. We have Bruno back against Wolves and quite a few options. Up front we have enough other alternatives."
