This is just about a month after the state’s House of Assembly passed the 2022 Appropriation Bill into law.

The signing of the budget into law by the governor was held at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Gombe.

The governor who spoke shortly after signing the budget into law said the budget went through both normal and due process by engaging the people of the state before it was presented to the House.

Tagged ‘Budget of Consolidation’, Yahaya said it is geared towards the delivery of quality service and the upliftment of the people of Gombe.

He assured that his administration would consolidate on change and resilience which the previous budgets were tagged.

Besides noting that the expectations of Gombe people are high, Yahaya also promised that his administration would deliver 54 per cent of capital projects.

He stressed that his government has never failed in paying salaries, adding that the relationship between the labour force, civil servants, as well as the entire people of the state, remained cordial.

The governor noted that his administration has been living above board, noting that it is ready anytime to account for everything.
