Disclaimer will be written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón (R0ma), who is also serving as an executive producer along with Blanchett. Esperanto Filmoj’s Gabriela Rodriguez and Anonymous Content’s David Levine, Dawn Olmstead, Steve Golin, and Renee Knight are set as executive producers. It is produced by Cuarón’s Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content.

“In the series, Blanchett will portray Catherine Ravenscroft, a successful and respected television documentary journalist whose work has been built on revealing the concealed transgressions of long-respected institutions,” reads the synopsis. “When an intriguing novel written by a widower, played by Kline, appears on her bedside table, she is horrified to realize she is a key character in a story that she had hoped was long buried in the past. A story that reveals her darkest secret. A secret she thought was hers alone.”

Blanchett starred in two limited drama series last year including Netflix’s Stateless, and FX’s Mrs. America. She will next be seen in a number of high-profile features including Don’t Look Up, Nightmare Alley, and Borderlands.

Disclaimer will mark Kline’s first scripted TV drama in more than 13 years since starring in the TV movie adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac.
