Man City boss Guardiola insists no rushing De Bruyne return

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said Kevin De Bruyne must train before returning to the first-team fold.

De Bruyne has recovered from covid, but Guardiola says the Belgian is still getting back to fitness.

The 28-year-old will travel with the team for Wednesday's clash at Aston Villa.

"Kevin is back but he needs time to be fit," Guardiola said.

"All the people who had covid explain that they are drained and tired and need time and Kevin is a player who needs to be fit otherwise he cannot show his top quality."
