John Cena Says ‘F— Aquaman’ in Peacemaker Clip, Second Trailer Confirmed
HBO Max has revealed a brand new Peacemaker clip for James Gunn’s forthcoming The Suicide Squad spin-off series.
The video comes with the official launch of the show’s website called PeacemakerIsComing.com, which confirms the arrival of another trailer this Friday, December 3.
The clip, which you can check out below, features a hilarious exchange between John Cena’s titular anti-hero and the hospital janitor named Jamil, portrayed by Rizwan Manji. The series is scheduled to make its debut on January 13, 2022.
Beyond the WWE legend in the lead role, the Peacemaker series will also star Steve Agee (The Suicide Squad, Superstore), Danielle Brooks (Orange Is the New Black, Close Enough), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Perry Mason) as Auggie Smith, Jennifer Holland (Brightburn, American Horror Story) as Emilia Harcourt, and Freddie Stroma (Bridgerton) as Vigilante.
Additional cast includes Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Chukwudi Iwuji (The Underground Railroad), Annie Chang (Shades of Blue), Christoper Heyerdahl (Hell on Wheels, Supernatural), Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (The Walking Dead), Rizwan Manji (Goliath), Nhut Le (The Kroll Show) as DC hero Judomaster, Aison Araya (Arrow) as Amber, and Lenny Jacobson (Nurse Jackie) as Evan.
Based on the characters from DC, the 8-episode first season of Peacemaker is written and created by James Gunn, who directed multiple episodes. Executive producers are Gunn, Cena, Peter Safran, and Matt Miller. It is being produced by Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
