Reno Omokri, Nigeria’s socio-political activist, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of ordering the killing of EndSARS protesters at Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State last year.
Omokri claimed that Buhari ordered the killing of the protesters “out of self-interest.”
He based his claim on Buhari’s comment on the protest.
The former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, in a tweet, wrote:
Some Nigerian youths were killed on October 20, 2020, at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State.
The youths were protesting police brutality at the toll gate when soldiers invited shot at them.
Despite claims of people killed, the Nigerian government had severally denied wrongdoings at the scene, claiming that nobody died.
However, the Lagos State EndSARS panel on Monday submitted its report and described the incident at the tollgate as a massacre.
