EPL: Like Liverpool, City will destroy Man United – Jordan

Former Crystal Palace chief, Simon Jordan, has said that Manchester United would suffer a heavy defeat in the hands of Manchester City at the weekend.

Manchester United bounced back from their 5-0 defeat to Liverpool to beat Tottenham 3-0 at the weekend but Jordan believes that the result against Spurs has not changed anything.

Jordan believes that Solskjaer is still not at the level of Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool nor Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, insisting that the victory over Spurs at the weekend does not mean the Norwegian will win anything for Manchester United.

Jordan warned Solskjaer against the feeling that all is now well with Manchester United following what he considered a fairly predictable result against Tottenham.

The Red Devils’ next Premier League outing is against Manchester City and Jordan believes Guardiola’s side will destroy Man United again the same way Liverpool did the previous weekend.

“I’m not entirely sure who didn’t think Man United were going to beat Tottenham on Saturday,” he told talkSPORT.

“It was fully expected because Tottenham aren’t in good nick and United will get a reaction.

“I fully expect him to get his head handed to him by Man City next week.

“United fans will be happy with being fourth, third, second and never winning anything.

“If the blueprint for Solskjaer’s job is, somewhere in our near future, to win something, then he can’t keep this job in perpetuity, because I don’t think he’s going to win anything for Man United.

“For crying out loud, if you can’t produce a decent set of performances with the players you’ve got, what the hell is going on?

“He can’t overcome Liverpool and if Man City are at it next weekend, they will destroy Man United.”

Manchester United will face Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday before their meeting with Manchester City on Sunday. A win against Pep Guardiola’s side at Old Trafford will bring the Red Devils back in contention for the Premier League title.
