Manchester United 'Call' Manager On The Recommendation Of Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United have reportedly got in contact with a manager on the recommendation of star man Cristiano Ronaldo amid uncertainty regarding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's position at the helm.

Pressure is mounting on Solskjaer following his side's crushing defeat last weekend.

Man United slumped to their second defeat of the Premier League season, losing 4-2 at Leicester City.

It doesn't get any easier for the Norwegian, who is tasked with brutal fixtures against Atalanta in the Champions League as well as league matches against Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City in the coming weeks.

Though he may not even be in charge of some of those games, with the club calling Zinedine Zidane on the recommendation of Ronaldo.

That's according to Spanish outlet El Chiringuito who claim Man United have been in contact with the former Real Madrid boss.

Of course, Zidane managed Ronaldo at Real and enjoyed a prolific spell as manager, winning the Champions League an incredible three times.

The Frenchman got the best out of his star-studded team as his former side also secured two La Liga titles during his stint as manager.

Despite Man United's worrying form, Gary Neville reckons the board will stick with Solskjaer until the end of the season.

He refused to call out his ex-teammate amid the club's poor recent performances.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, he said: "He should be under massive pressure with the squad that's been assembled and the fact he's been in the job two-and-a-half, nearly three years.

"But the club are not going to change him and the club are going to stick with him until the end of the season.

"I've got Manchester United fans on my social media timeline all the time saying, 'Gary, he's your mate, you won't call him out.'

"No, I won't, no I won't and I won't call Steve Kean out or Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

"I'm not going to come on this show 11 years later and ask for a manager to be sacked, it's never gonna happen.

"He's a club legend, he's my teammate, I actually like him a lot and Manchester United have failed with two previous managers who have been world class."
