Netflix has become an integral part of modern life for many across the globe, with it providing an on-demand service for you to watch your favourite shows non-stop and without advertisements.
However, it's no secret that with the vast amount of options available, you may occasionally veer towards a television show or film that you would be embarrassed for others to find out about.
Never fear, because Netflix allows you to delete your viewing history, ensuring that your love of romantic comedies will never be revealed to the world.
How do you delete your viewing history?
You can quite easily remove all trace of what television shows and films you've watched using the following guide
Log in to your Netflix account and select the menu icon.
Choose account and select viewing activity to open the My Activity page.
Once open, your My Activity panel will show a list of all viewing activity ordered by viewing date.
To delete one of more titles from this list, select the no sign to the right of the entry you wish to remove, then click the Hide Series button to confirm your choice.
What happens to your deleted content?
Now, whilst you may be embarrassed by your viewing of one particular show or film, you may also wish for Netflix to keep recommending you further series that are similar.
As such, you may be wondering what happens to your deleted content once you have completed the above steps.
After a title is removed or cleared from your Netflix viewing history, you will no longer see them in the Recently Watched or Continue Watching categories on the home screen.
However, the titles also aren't included in future viewing recommendations, although you can find them manually via the search function.
