Nigeria @61 – does this really call for celebration?
We have really come a long way as a Nation, from 1960 when Nigeria got independence till this moment, a lot of things have happened.
The British colonial masters granted us indepence when the country is not yet developed in terms of infrastructural development, education, health and much more.
After 1960, we are left alone by colonial masters to develop our country and make things better for ourselves as citizens of Nigeria.
As at today, we have 61years to make the country better, we have 61years to celebrate liberation as a Nation but as it stands now, does it seem like there is anything worth celebrating?
It’s really not clear if Nigeria has any good reason to Celebrate Independence Day, so as a Nigerian ?
