The Flash Movie: Release Date, Cast and Trailer

Next year, in 2022, 'The Flash' movie will be released, with this film based within the DC Universe and produced by DC Films.

Ben Affleck is expected to star in the production as one of two versions of Batman, the other being played by Michael Keaton. The Flash, meanwhile, will be played by Ezra Miller.

When is the release date for 'The Flash'?

The film will be released in movie theatres on November 4, 2022, and pre-production began as far back as January 2020.

Films released at the box office in 2021 haven't done as well as expected, with the public still concerned about travelling in public places due to COVID-19, although there is hope for 'The Flash' that by 2022 that level of trepidation will have dissipated somewhat.

Who are the confirmed cast for 'The Flash'?

Ben Affleck will play a version of Batman alongside Michael Keaton, whilst the aforementioned Ezra Miller will reprise his role as The Flash.

In addition to those stars, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdu and Ron Livingston will all be part of the film too.

The roles for these actors are as follows:

• Calle - Supergirl

• Clemons - Iris Wet

• Verdu - Nora Allen

• Livingston - Henry Allen

Finally, Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso have both been cast in the film, but as yet their respective roles are undisclosed.

Is there a trailer for 'The Flash'?

A fan-made teaser trailer came out back in March 2021, highlighting the characters and the brief plot of the film.

It was around two minutes in length and it showed how The Flash came to be as well as how his particular skillset allows him to manipulate the space/time continuum.

It's understood that the plot of the film will be The Flash travelling back in time to prevent the murder of his mother, but, as with any time travel blockbuster, changing a course of events will bring unintended consequences.
