The solution is already there for iOS users as Notes is a free app installed in your device and offers you the option of scanning a paper document, with the process being straight-forward.

1. Open the Notes app on your home screen.

2. Tap the New note icon.

3. Then, tap the plus sign circle icon.

4. Choose the menu option: Scan Documents

5. Take photo with your mobile

6. Tap Retake in case you want to scan the document again or tap Save and it will appear on the note.

7. You can find the document in Scanned Documents and share it by tapping the share icon in the top-right of the screen.

Scan documents with Google Drive (Android users)

For Android users who are willing to scan documents such as receipts, letters, and billing statements via the Google Drive app you can:

1. Open the Google Drive app.

2. In the bottom right, tap Add.

3. Tap Scan.

4. Take a photo of the document you'd like to scan.

5. To adjust scan area: Tap Crop.

6. To take photo again: Tap Re-scan.
