Barcelona plan to reignite Olmo transfer plans in January
Barcelona are closing on a January deal for RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo.
Sport's Josep Capdevila has reported the club tried to sign him in the final hours of the window.
Barca are keeping him in their thoughts for the winter window.
Esport3 says they are willing to pay 60m euros for him in January. Plan A for that window is to buy the RB Leipzig player.
Olmo, who can play as a wide midfielder or attacking midfielder, is 23 and valued at 50m euros. He has a contract until 2024, so Leipzig might not be easy to negotiate with.
A Spanish international, Olmo came through at Barca before leaving for Dinamo Zagreb, where he grew a lot, leading to the Bundesliga side pouncing.
Olmo is liked by Barcelona's technicians, although he isn't the only option.
