Ajax chief Overmars opens door to Barcelona return

Ajax chief Marc Overmars admits a return to Barcelona would be considered if an offer arrived.

The former Barcelona winger recalled having a great time when he lived in Catalonia and stressed that he would choose moving to Spain over potentially making a move to England to become Arsenal's sporting director.

"At a certain point the thing is simple: either I continue and stay here at Ajax or we go abroad again as a family," Overmars said in an interview with Ajax Life.

"I have let that train pass six times.

"Both [Arsenal and Barcelona] are interesting [options], but I think my family would choose Spain. We were very comfortable there and I think that I would choose Barcelona."
