Pep Guardiola has suggested that Gabriel Jesus will not be sacrificed in Manchester City’s bid to bring in another striker – with the Blues still in the hunt for Harry Kane.

Guardiola has said of a Brazilian frontman: “Gabriel is an incredibly important player for us. Always his mind was in the right place and he can play as a striker or wider, in more lateral positions.

“He is an exceptional player, there is no doubt about that.”
